Starting from 2009 A new course has been given, resulted in 2010 with the approval of the regulation of the protected marine area, and in recent years there has been a concrete relaunch of the institution, which allowed to implement the protection purposes for which the largest marine reserve in Europe was born.
It was very laborious, In these years, recover management solidity and credibility, mend institutional relations, re-establish the dialogue with the world of research and create a relationship of trust with Egadine citizenship and the multiple socio-economic operators who work within it.
Today we can say that unexpected results have been achieved, worthy of appreciation, and that the future reserves other promising goals. The biological diversity and the many natural habitats that we find at Egadi are an immense heritage, which allows us to focus our economy on sustainable tourism, able to help us maintain these lasting values over time.
